Vaporesso Luxe XR Max Instruction Manual: How to Use

The Vaporesso Luxe XR Max is Vaporesso’s flagship pod mod for advanced vapers. Featuring a maximum power of 80 watts and a unique translucent design that allows you to see part of the advanced circuit board, the Luxe XR Max is as stylish as it is powerful. You might find it a bit complicated to use, however, if you’ve never used a refillable vape before. The printed instruction manual included with the device doesn’t make things much better because it’s clearly written with the assumption that you already know what you’re doing.

Charging the Luxe XR Max

Before you can start using the Luxe XR Max, you’ll need to charge the battery. You can do that by connecting the device to your computer using the USB cable included in the box. If the original cable wears out, you can also use any extra USB-C cable that you happen to have around. While the battery charges, you’ll see an indicator on the screen. When the indicator shows that the battery is full, you can disconnect the device.

Filling the Luxe XR Max

The filling port for the Luxe XR Max pod is on the pod’s underside. To fill the pod, remove it from the device and locate the silicone plug on the bottom. Remove the plug to open the filling port and add your e-liquid through the port. Stop when the pod is nearly full. Replace the plug and ensure that it’s pushed all the way in. Wait several minutes before vaping to ensure that the wick is completely saturated.

Using the Luxe XR Max

To vape with the Vaporesso Luxe XR Max, first check the screen to ensure that the device is already turned on. If the screen is off, press the fire button five times to turn the device on. To vape, inhale through the pod’s mouthpiece while holding the fire button.

Changing Settings on the Luxe XR Max

The Vaporesso Luxe XR Max has a full menu system that allows you to change a variety of settings such as the brightness of the screen, the vaping mode and more. In this instruction manual, though, we’ll just focus on the two most important things to help you get started quickly. The wattage and the airflow are the two main settings that you’ll want to change on this device. Here’s how to adjust them.

• To change the wattage, click the fire button three times to unlock the touch-sensitive adjustment buttons. Use the buttons to change the wattage. Click the fire button again to confirm. At higher wattages, you’ll enjoy bigger clouds and stronger flavors. At lower wattages, you can expect a smoother experience. If your Luxe XR Max tastes burnt, the wattage is probably too high.
• To adjust the airflow, move the tab on the side of the device. Push the tab all the way up for the tightest possible draw or down for the loosest draw. The Luxe XR Max can deliver anything from a tight cigarette-like draw to a much looser direct-to-lung hit.

Replacing the Coil

As you use your Vaporesso Luxe XR Max, you’ll find that the flavor quality will gradually change due to the buildup of e-liquid residue on the heating coil. Eventually, the residue will become thick enough that the device will start to produce a smoky and burnt flavor. Poor flavor quality means it’s time for a new coil.

To replace the vape coil in the Luxe XR Max, remove the pod from the device and turn it upside down. Pull the old coil out and push the new coil in. Remember that the wick in the new coil is dry and needs to be fully saturated before you can start vaping. Refill the tank and wait several minutes before you vape.

Fixing Problems with the Luxe XR Max

As you use the Luxe XR Max, you may experience occasional problems. Unfortunately, you won’t find a great deal of information in the included instruction manual to help you troubleshoot these issues – but we’re here to help. Is your Vaporesso Luxe XR Max not working? Here’s what you need to do.

Blinking

If your Luxe XR Max is blinking when you vape, it’s trying to tell you that there’s a problem. Here’s what you should do.

• Blinking five times: The Luxe XR Max has detected a problem with the installed coil. Check under the pod for a leak and dry the device if necessary. Make sure that the coil is pushed all the way in. Replace the coil if the issue continues.
• Blinking three times: The battery is dead. Recharge the device.
• Blinking four times: The internal temperature of the Luxe XR Max is too high. Stop vaping and move the device to a cooler place.
• Blinking five times during a long puff: The Vaporesso Luxe XR Max has a 10-second puff timer. If you puff on the device longer than 10 seconds, it’ll cut off and blink automatically to prevent overheating.

Not Hitting

If your Luxe XR Max isn’t hitting when you press the fire button, follow these steps.

• Check to see if the light is blinking. If it is, refer to the list of error codes above.
• Turn the Luxe XR Max on by pressing the button five times.
• Charge the battery by connecting the Luxe XR Max to your computer. If the screen doesn’t turn on, refer to the next section below.
• Check for a leak. If you find e-liquid under the pod, dry the device and pod fully.
• Replace the coil if your Luxe XR Max still isn’t hitting.

Not Charging

If your Luxe XR Max doesn’t charge when you connect it to your computer, follow these steps.

• Try charging the Luxe XR Max with a different cable.
• Try connecting the device to a different power source. If it doesn’t charge through your computer, try connecting it to a wall adapter with a 5-volt, 1-amp output.
• Make sure that the charging port on the Luxe XR Max is clean. You can use a toothpick to remove dust and lint from the port.

Leaking

If you notice e-liquid under the pod when removing it from your Luxe XR Max, the pod has leaked. Follow these steps.

• Dry the device and pod completely with a paper towel.
• Don’t overfill the pod. You need to leave a little room for the silicone stopper.
• Don’t puff so hard. If your Luxe XR Max gurgles when you vape, you’re using too much air pressure.
• Make sure that the stopper is securely closed after filling the pod.

Burnt Taste

If your Luxe XR Max produces a burnt flavor when you try to vape, follow these steps.

• Reduce the wattage.
• Take shorter puffs. If you prefer to use the Luxe XR Max at higher wattages, you’ll need to avoid longer puffs to prevent the wick from drying out.
• Replace the coil if you’ve been using the device for a while. You can expect the coils for the Luxe XR Max to last about a week. After that, they’ll start to produce a burnt, smoky flavor.
